-Black and white recordings insinuate flashbacks, as the man is from the future. The three rapid cuts which fit into the music disorientate the audience, which connotes the character is confused. -The camera angle is zoomed out to fit the fight scene in, showing how quick the older mans reactions are as he has been there before. -The lighting in the future scenes are dark, this suggests that times have changed at the character is showing his darker side. This idea is also supported as police helicopters are flying above and sirens sound. The lights shining down are looking for these criminals which he is which tells the audience he's evil. -The dead body under wraps suggests that he doesn't even know who he is killing and the voice over says 'When they need someone gone and they want to erase any trace of the targets existance they hire a specialised assassin'. This shows that it is just a job to him and his approach is heartless. Although later in the film the older version to him tells him he will save his life. -The leather jacket the man is wearing is a convention of a villain as the clothing is dark and leather is gothic. -White titles on a black screen, this is the same as the last film Source code and is used as seeing stuff in 'black and white' means you see it as an extreme, which is what action films attempt. -Montage scenes of quick camera shots showing plenty of explosions and gun shots which suggest that the film is fast paced full of violence and action. -The film is a typical action thriller as it has half naked women in it. They know that their target audience is mainly men so they try to attract even more in this fashion -Music starts off quite twisted, this could be relative to the plot as he has to kill himself. The silenced gunshots insinuate it's abnormal.
